Perfect Solution for a Hot Laptop
I have an i5 laptop that runs extremely hot. It has a 14.5" screen, and fits perfectly over the fan with room to spare. I actually use my laptop on my laptop, and always ended up w/a very hot leg. This fixed the problem. I even mounted both on top of a cardboard box. Inside the box I attached a USB hub, added USB flash drives. I cut a few holes in the box for access to the hub, power cables, etc. The whole config sits nicely on my lap, PC is cool, and with the USB powered fan when the laptop shuts down so does the fan. quiet cooling - until it just stops working
UPDATE: It STOPPED WORKING. Just stopped one day. No amount of fiddling with it will make it come back on. Very disappointed!! This is a great fan for computers getting light to normal use, but not for heavy usage like lots of gaming. I love the fan because it's quiet, but because it is quiet, it is not as powerful as you might think. So using it to watch Netflix is perfect. I've tried several of the cheaper fans, and they always break. This one seems like it might actually last. A good buy for the money.UPDATE: It STOPPED WORKING. Just stopped one day. Might be great if it worked.
The USB power cord had a great piggy back feature. Unfortunately, when plugged in, it didn't work. If you "cocked it" just right it would start but you needed to keep pressure on it. Fan pressure was great, when it worked, but wasn't trust worthy. I was going to ask for a replacement but they seemed more interested in having it back and cancelling the transaction.

Not as powerful as expected, but doing the job
Airflow wasn't quite as strong as I expected (even on high), but it does the trick. Be aware of where you need the most cooling on your laptop... this is good at getting the central area, but not good at the edges, if your processors are set off to the side of the motherboard.
