The silver-screen version of SEX AND THE CITY is sure to inspire lust, though it may not be after its sexy male cast. Instead, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her friends wear enviable fashions from the industry's biggest names such as Zac Posen, Louis Vuitton, and, of course, Manolo Blahnik, and their gorgeous clothes--and accessories--threaten to steal the show. But for fans of the series' wit, drama, and sex, there's plenty to like in this romantic comedy filled with familiar characters. Though four years have passed since the events of the series, not much has changed as the film begins: Carrie and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) are happy as they search for an apartment, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is blissful with her husband (Evan Handler) and adopted daughter, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) is still with actor Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is trying to balance life as a mother, wife, and lawyer as she lives in Brooklyn with Steve (David Eigenberg). But Carrie and Big's apartment hunt leads them down the road to marriage, and the destination may not be quite everything Carrie hoped for. Though the film runs nearly two and a half hours, it flies by the way a marathon of episodes would for the devoted. Even minor characters from the show--Vogue editor Enid Frick (Candice Bergen), beloved Carrie pal Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson), and hyper wedding planner Anthony Marentino (Mario Canton)--make fan-pleasing appearances. SEX AND THE CITY is full of glitz, glamour, and giggles, but be sure to have a tissue nearby. These characters have become like friends to fans, and it's tough not to tear up when things don't go exactly as they'd hoped.

    Label Naming Fun but Still Insightful

    I actually liked this movie. I've never seen the series and thought this would be some stupid excuse to make a movie that revolved around designer labels. You know, free advertising. I was right, the label dropping was ridiculous. Being a former design student, I was surprised to find labels I'd never heard of. But, that aside, the story line was very real and I could relate on so many levels. It wasn't about the labels. They were a major character but not the major character. Marriage was the major character, and what can and will go wrong if communication isn't happening like it should. If you take away all the fluff and filler, this is a movie about making it work no matter what, and the confusion and madness that can descend if one isn't willing to talk and work it out. ...

    Great movie!

    Carrie's relationship with Big continues to be challenged in this (and the next) film as they head to marital bliss and are interrupted even before they arrive. Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda return to give us more in Sex And The City: The Movie and give us fans exactly what we're looking for: drama, funny moments, bonding and great entertainment! Parker, Cattral, Davis, and Nixon give great performances reprising the roles that made them famous as well as their male counerparts. Can't wait to see what Sex And The City 2 brings us!

    Sex and the City-The Wedding Collection-Beautiful Set!!

    I received this item as a gift to myself. I already owned the special collector's edition dvd of this movie but loved it so much that I just had to have the wedding collection box set. It was such a great deal through peaceofmindbooks that I could not help but get it. It is absolutely beautiful!! Just a neat idea for the fans of the show and movie. The box is a beautiful pearl like pink with pink & black details. To open you use the ribbon tab and slide the contents out the side of the cover. Once inside it is equally beautiful with more pink and black details. It contains 4 discs and a very colorful book with photos and quotes from the movie. This collection is one of my favorites yet!! I also love the collection with all 7 seasons of the show in the hot pink velvet box. If you ...

    Hello Lover!!

    This was a gift for my wife; she is a Sex and the City fanatic since the begging of the series. I am 100% sure she will love this for life. The product comes in a very nice - chick and well build package. It represents the style of the TV series. I will recommend this product to all husbands, boyfriends and Lovers out there; you cannot go wrong with a gift like this!!!

    Sex and the City Movie

    I love the series and wanted to have the movie for my collection. I did not get the chance to see it in the theater so it was perfect to find it here on ebay. I love ebay. I always tell everyone that you can find anything on ebay.
