Product Information

A spin-off of the ever popular æ70s TV series SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU!, THE NEW SCOOBY-DOO MOVIES reunites Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and of course, Scooby for more mystery-solving adventures. Not only did the show feature more sophisticated storylines and characters than its predecessor, it attracted a line-up of celebrity voices from the likes of The Harlem Globetrotters, Dick Van Dyke, Jonathan Winters, Don Knotts, æMamaÆ Cass Elliot, and Sonny and Cher. Even animated heroes such as Batman and Robin, The Addams Family, and Speed Buggy wanted in on the action, appearing alongside Scooby and Co. in their own themed episodes. This deluxe box set contains 15 of the best and spookiest instalments.

  • Not quite Classic Scooby, still entertaining.

I purchased this from ebay just on the off chance, it's only 4 episodes long which is a bit low as there were 24 episodes made. It's not as funny or as crisp with the storyline as the originals I love from 1969. Still the episodes are longer than the originals at 41mins and feature animated versions of comedians like 'The Three Stooges', 'Jonathan Winters' & 'Don Knotts' also one episode has 'Batman & Robin'. The stories & animation are not as good or as funny as the originals, I guess they got it right first time in 1969-70, the Jonathan Winters episode is quite good as he did all the voice overs and the Batman & Robin one is ok, as for the other two they're are pretty average, as a Scooby fan it's definately one to watch just for the nostalgia.

  • Something a bit different for British fans

I've never seen these movies before, which I think are referred to as the third season of Scooby Doo, Where Are You? British broadcasters tending not to show these, apart from once in the 1970s. So, if you like Scooby Doo and you want to see something a bit different and which you probably haven't seen before, then give these a go. They're good value for money, good fun and you won't regret it.
