Ok, this is not a Luthier Standard repair/maintenance kit, 'You'd need to got to Australian Luthier Supplies or Stewmac for quality gear'. However, for just a home hobby guitarist, to do some basic maintenance, maybe adjust string action, a bit of fret smoothing or nut/saddle adjustment, this kit contains all the basic tools to do a reasonable job. I'm not saying it would be okay for someone doing multiple instruments on a regular basis, but this kit covers all the. basics for me. I can adjust my string action, check the setup on both my acoustic and electric guitars and get a reasonable setup. As long as you take your time, take a look at one of the various youtubes showing string/action/setup you can get a reasonable result to keep your guitar in reasonable playing shape. However, I don't think it is intended to replace a visit to a good guitar technician/luthier every now and again for a good service, so don't think you can replicate the skills of what an experienced guitar technician/luthier has spent years perfecting with just this tool kit. I like it, I find it useful, got all the relevant tools and is very good value for the hobby guitarist to do the odd maintenance and checks which can identify issues that need to take the guitar to a professional.Read full review
