    Old memories

    I bought KOUROS YSL EAU DE TOILETTE over 40 years ago. Brings back memories. Dressing up going to dances flooding the room with lovely odours. An excellent fragrance by YSL.     A scent that says comforting, clean, confident and warm

    I've had a bottle of vintage Kouros for years, only ever applied lightly because it had a skanky cattleyard/rodeo undertone to its otherwise fresh clean classy scent that was best understated but still hinted at something raw and rough. The new formulation barely has any of that undertone left.. just the vaguest hint. Its now more elegant clean and fresh buit still a heart-warmer. The dirty side to this scent that I wish was still there was probably civet, now replaced with a synthetic that simply doesnt say dirty and dangerous the way animal derived scents can. Even without that Kouros remains classy fresh and masculine even without the powerful hint of an underlying dirty side.

    Kouros - Just a shadow of what it once was

    As a wearer of the original Kouros in the 1980s I can honestly say that the many reformulations this has undergone over the years has really ripped the guts out of this formerly wonderful mens cologne. The current formula is no more than "reminiscent" of the original. Still "nice" but lacks the awesomeness of the original. The current Kouros is like modern Man: weak, inspid, easily offended, and tamed.

    Really great product

    Just a really great product.. Long lasting and always getting compliments whenever I wear Kouros I have sensitive skin however I can use it all the time were other aftershaves I have to be careful
