About this product

Product Information

A group of savvy-minded siblings take an unusual approach to family togetherness in the wholesome Canadian comedy WHO GETS THE HOUSE? Fearing the imminent divorce of their parents Rebecca (Sophie Lorain) and Don (Carl Marotte), brother and sister Brian (Ricky Mabe) and Emily Reece (Elisha Cuthbert, 24, THE GIRL NEXT DOOR) obtain a legal court order giving the kids ownership of the house--and forcing the parents to take turns visiting them. Comic hijinks ensue as Rebecca and Don shuffle in and out of the family home, providing ample opportunity for their scheming progeny to attempt a parental reunion. STAR TREK's George Takei has a cameo role as the family's wacky repairman.

Item arrived exactly as expected and matched the pictures. Package also arrived a day earlier than expected. Shipping was a little high but I'm someone who hates how expensive shipping is in general but that's just the cost of shipping sometimes. Was well packaged to prevent damage. Would buy again!

  • If you liked "The Parent Trap", this may be for you ...

This G-rated film (re-released as "Who Stole My Voice?") is billed as family-friendly, although very young kids may get a bit bored. It's more geared towards tweens and teenagers who are old enough to start thinking about crushes, misunderstandings, and the nature of friendship. The movie was made in the late 1990s but even years later, it holds up pretty well. It's set in Minnesota, where four children begin to suspect that their parents' relationship is in trouble. Their worst fears are confirmed when their parents announce that they will be separating. The four siblings in the story are genuinely fond of each other, and have a lively sense of humor. Elisha Cuthbert and Ricky Mabe as the oldest sister and brother have most of the lines and emotional range (a very different dynamic from ...

  • who gets the house

MOvie was about a family with parents going through trials of marriage and how children are affected by decisions they can't control, like having to leave their home. It was clean, it was funny , and it was real. We decided to buy movie, which we usually don't do, because I believe there should be movies, whether they are fact or fiction, that a entire family should be able to watch without filthy words, or nearly naked women, it is not good for kids and it is not any better for an adult. Why does Hollywood think it is okay to show a little boy with a Playboy? Is that funny? Hollywood REPEATEDLY "tells" girls they are just a body/boobs and Americans just except it. I want my daughter to grow up loving herself, knowing she is more than a set of boobs (Pamela Anderson, Anna Nicole Smith, just ...

  • Who Gets The House

Sorry. My husband and I watched this movie and didn't like it. The plot was not well written. They could have made it more interesting and funny. The reason the couple wanted to separate seemed weak. The kids getting the house sounded like it could have been a funny movie. Not so. When the husband decided to stay with his wife, he went to see her play and everyone was laughing, when it was not really funny. It seemed contrived, like they were suggesting that it was a funny moment when it really wasn't. Sorry. My opinion.
