    GREAT SADDLE

I bought this graph tech saddle for my 1999 gibson acoustic guitar ( WM-45 ). I only had to sand the height and width the length was a perfect fit. Only took about 15 minutes to sand. Now i have the rich high;s on the 1st; 2nd and 3rd string;s and the good low;s ( deep sound ) on the 4th; 5th and 6th string;s; now it sound;s like a gibson should. All i need now is a graph tech nut on it and i;ll be very happy. The new sound is amazing. These saddle;s will fit most all acoustic guitar;s. buy one for your guitar and you will hear the difference for yourself

  • Fit my Gibson J 15

Light sanding to fit for length and thickness. Then a fair bit of sanding to lower to desired action. Take your time to install, string tune to pitch, measure, and test, repeat. I measured action using a string action ruler made by Baroque that is about the size of a credit card to sneak up on my desired string height. Very handy. Use you existing saddle for comparison. But hey at this price if you screw up, buy another and try again.

  • Was rhe right saddle size for a Gibson J 15

This fits a Gibson J 45 and a J 15 acoustic guitar. You wanna buy 2 at a time-youre gonna hold it level at the top and file the bottom of the saddle on a flat piece of sandpaper to get your string height lower. If you file it too low, the guitar strings will buzz on the fretboard. Then you can use the first saddle to compare the second one to and know exactly how much less to file by how much taller it is, we're talking an 8th to 16ths of a millimeter. Definitely a fastidious procedure- but not difficult. Just some level filing back and forth on a piece of sandpaper. Try installing strings without filing at first, the height may be okay, but unlikely...string action usually takes a little handywork. Rately do saddles not need to be diled down a little bit. If you dont the sand the ...

  • TUSQ saddle 9400-00

Required quite a bit of size modification, mostly height. Took several days and numerous attempts, but result so far is fabulous! Sounds great with or without amp!! Love it!
