Although the members of Celtic Woman change from time to time, the overall quality of their singing and production values never varies: it is always 199% top notch! Enchanting, with a wide selection of musical pieces appropriate to the season and the location. The "Christmas Celebration" is pure enchantment, a fine, enthralling celebration of the Christmas Season! Blessings on Celtic Women (as well as their male support performers)!Although the members of Celtic Woman change from time to time, the overall quality of their singing and production values never varies: it is always 199% top notch! Simply Heavenly!
After watching "A Christmas Celebration - Celtic Woman" on tv, I just had to purchase this DVD along with their CD to complete my collection of Celtic Woman. I was more than pleasantly surprised when I received the DVD and found that it had "O Holy Night" on it that was not aired on TV and at least one other song. These women are amazing, their voices blend so wonderfully and beautifully together that they can raise you up all the way to heaven! They have the voices of angels! David Downes is an amazing in his arrangement, direction and in composing music. Green the Whole Year Round written by David and sung by Lisa Kelly is now one of my favorite Christmas carols and will be for years to come. Lisa also sings my all time favorite Christmas carol, The Christmas ... Celtic Woman- A Christmas Celebration (DVD, 2007)
Absolutely Heavenly!!! These ladies are angels on earth! Beautiful arrangements of beloved Christmas carols, hymns and a few that are in Gaelic. Orla plays the harp on one song, but I wish she had on a few more. Mairead is in her ethereal form on the fiddle and just brings new life to classic music, like you have never heard. Still all five origianl ladies from show one. Beautiful gowns, lighting and choirs to add backup. Filmed live in Ireland. The very last song is a little jazzier than all the rest, but it's a cute version of it. Very much woth having and great to watch all year 'round!Absolutely Heavenly!!! Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration
Like the Celtic Woman CDs and DVDs that came before, this Christmas DVD is a delight! The unique harmonies and arrangements, the Irish fiddle, and the angelic blend of these four ladies voices will charm even the most humbug Christmas spirits. The music ranges from old traditional to comtemporary, but it's the way in which it has been interpreted that makes this more than just a rerelease of the same Christmas songs we've all heard. The DVD is from a live concert; approximately 90 minutes long. (If you were lucky enough to see the PBS broadcast of the concert - this DVD has additional songs that were not included.) The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't last longer.Like the Celtic Woman CDs and DVDs that came before, this Christmas DVD is a delight! Celtic Woman Christmas Celebration
This was the best DVD we have heard for the entire Christmas season. Our disabled ( Autistic) son played this DVD over and over again and was actually singing with it since we got it before Christmas. These women are the best in the world at what they do and theirmusic is so comforting to many people. Some of these people are severely disbled and love to hum along with the music or try to sing when they haven't spoken in many years. I wish there was a way to send this message to the Celtic Woman and tell them how all their DVD's and how their music has changed our lives and the lives of many of my son's friend's in the disabled community where we live. This has truly been a blessed Christmas this year.This was the best DVD we have heard for the entire Christmas season.
