Helped round out our Star Wars movie collection

This DVD was perfect - I have a box set of Star Wars DVDs for I - XI, and we were trying to rewatch all the movies in chronological order and my Star Wars III was not playing in our DVD player. I ordered this and it arrived really quickly and in good condition - no problem it doesn't have a case because I put it into our box set. Great value.

  • Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005, DVD)

The Force is with us in EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH, the final chapter of the six-part STAR WARS series, which began a long time ago (1977) in a galaxy far, far away... and is now complete in its cyclical perfection. This visually awe-striking kaleidoscope of interplanetary imagination features the unmatched digital animation and special effects of George Lucas's Industrial Light and Magic. With pink and orange skies casting a golden sheen over magnificent landscapes through which space ships dart and light sabers flash, the spectacle of the film, while hypnotizing, is but a complement to the intense, crucial plot. Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) remains the Jedi apprentice of master Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). Battling dark forces that threaten the Republic, the duo quickly ...

  • Very Good Movie

I finally got to see this movie and I was not dissappointed. This movie was great in so many different ways. First you have wonderful actors including Ewan McGregor (The Island, Trainspotting), Hayden Christensen (Shattered Glass), Jimmy Smits (Stephan Kings TommyKnockers), Natalie Portman (Garden State), Samuel L. Jackson (Shaft), and so many more! They all did a wonderful job throughout the whole movie. Then you have the special effects. There were so many wonderful things in this movie and all of them were wonderful. The only one I had a problem with is the Docter/nurse at the end (she looked really fake). All the fights and action scenes are great though. I really enjoyed seeing everything come together between all the Star Wars movies. You get to see Darth Vader and how he came to ...

  • Save the best for last.

Its an old saying but it does hold true. George Lucas certainly saved the best for the last installment in the prequel trilogy. While this new trilogy got off to a shaky start, it definitely gained momentum and exploded on to the screen with Revenge of the Sith. There was so much energy in this film, so much emotion, and so much intensity, most people will say the entire prequel trilogy was well worth watching to see it play out. This movie was absolutely fantastic. Every Star Wars wanted this movie, and they got it. But knowing how it would turn out, didn't change a viewer wanting to see Anakin prevail and over throw the Sith influence. A good movie such as this, draws the audience in and makes us sympathize with the characters. We all wish for the best but know that it will all go ...

  • The Best Has Been Saved For Last

This may be, in this humble person's opinion, rival even any of the other 5 movies, even the original 3. This movie definitely has a darker tone, which is a refreshing surprise for the series' now older fan base, and a good return to where the series should be after a less than stellar episodes 1 and 2. Not that any of the six movies shouldn't be in even the casual fan's collection, but this one is an absolute must. It's truly a dissapointment it took until 2005, but it's nice to see George Lucas finally got it right. It seems he saved the best for last. Let's keep it that way, because I honestly don't see any more of a future for this series. Best to go out with a bang.
