    bolt on power

    Installed this on a 2002 Harley FXDP along with a pingel fuel tap at the same time(got rid of the vacuum operation after an issue). It is very easy to get up and running for a starting point for tuning. Extra parts are included for twin cam 88 engines which I used and it runs great. I was surprised when I started taking off at the lights and thought I had a problem with the clutch. It wants to take off for flight. As some others have had to do I also had to file off a small portion of one of the fins on the backside of the front cylinder to clear one of the float bowl bolts. Instructions are very clear. I have a screamin eagle air cleaner and it fits fine. I'm happy with my new monster and the look of the carb on the machine.

    First time working on a motorcycle

    I ordered this carb based on the price. When i got it, it was really nice looking. I followed the directions, which is recommended and got it installed in about an hour. After putting everything together, i hit the starter and she fired right up. The carb seems to be tuned perfectly right out of the box, power is amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone wamting to do a rebuild, swap, or just wamt some more horsepower. Comes with everthing you need. Even has some parts to tune the carb if you want better mileage.

    Game, set and match with this kit. No problems at any level. The packaging was spot on. Genuine Mikuni tuning manual included. I couldn t be happier. I would recommend. Nothing like a fresh carb on an old motor. If you re looking to update, or switch brands, it took about a week to get here. So that should leave you time to change intake manifold seals and gas line and be ready to pop on the new carb in less than 2 hours.

    Lots of experience with these carbs.

    I've been a Harley mechanic for almost 30 years. I've used many different brands of csrbs. Mikuni is as close to fuel injection as you can get. They work flawlessly.

    Mikuni HSR 42 easy kit

    Nice Kit, arrived earlier than stated. Was very easy to install. Did have to grind 3 fins on both cylinders to fit properly but, a die grinder is very helpful. CONS: The picture of the product is not what you get. It shows to have a air cleaner cover. I did not receive this cover. Everything else was there. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yes I would.
