    Android 2.1 in a well built and inexpensive mobile.

    One of the very few portrait slider Android mobiles. I prefer a physical portrait keyboard to a landscape one, in spite of the fact that the keys are smaller. It came with Android 2.1 and and I rooted it so I got rid of most of the extraneous programs I didn't need. This took the free RAM up from 40MB to 60MB. The screen is 2.8" - a bit on the small side - and is resistive so is not as sensitive as more modern capacitative screen. Nevertheless it works pretty well with a a fingernail. The camera is only 2.0 MP and there's quite a lag before it takes a picture. The build quality is surprisingly good and it has wifi, GPS and 3G, so it very good value for the money.

    not goog

    bought on e-bay,phone battery life short,touch screen in-operable returned phone to supplier, recieved another alcatel ot 980 this phone again does not work, when the battery is fully charged the alcatel logo loads and then the battery is flat and needs recharging, not satisfied at all.
