My experience with this business was the very best. A seller who delivered in every area and was responsive to the buyer in the ways that really count! Not only was the seller spot on with the description, he was very conscientious to keep me informed. He respected the significance of the item as an heirloom, and went to great lengths to see that it was packaged properly. I have had some kind of bad experiences and his service is definitely in the top tier. eBay needs more sellers like him. I lo

    Accurate And Reliable GPS

I've used this DeLorme PN-20 model for many years and it's always been helpful out in the field. My only improvement would be to have a larger screen as it is quite small and makes it difficult to zoom in while still seeing multiple close points in relation to one another.

  • Expect to study to make it work, but it does work well

The PN-20 GPS does exactly what it's supposed to do, but don't expect it to be very intuitive and easy to learn. I don't know if its Big Brothers (the PN-40 and the PN-60) are any easier to use or if they just have more features -- and cost a whole lot more. But the PN-20 takes a lot of learning before it starts to produce good results. You can download or watch videos on U-Tube on how to work with it. You can also download the operation manual from the Delorme web site if it isn't included in your package. There is an excellent review and How-to in some kind of hiking magazine. Just search for PN-20 and Delorme and you'll find it. Considering the difference in price, you'll save hundreds of dollars by choosing the PN-20 and then learning how it ticks. Always remember that no GPS ...

  • DeLorme Earthmate PN-20 Handheld GPS Receiver

I bought this GPS because my husband and I had started a new hobby - geocaching. He has the DeLorme PN40 - which is more expensive than this one. Mine will work adequately for this hobby - however his has a few more options that I would like to have had. If I was going to buy another one for this hobby - I would probably buy the more advanced one - because it fine tunes the distance. This receiver will not show everything that is sometimes needed - however it has been adequate for what I am doing with it. It stores a lot of things in memory - seems easy to navigate to the areas needed and can delete info as needed. The manual was not with the product - but I have been able to access one online. This is a good product for a beginner in geocaching - or for anyone just needing to know ...

  • Have had better luck with Garmin units.

I brought a Pn-20 used from ebay and as much as I would like to rave about it I can't. I own various Garmin and Magellan hand held units; I use them for hiking and Search and Rescue purposes. I use the units in conjunction with a compass and topo maps; I pull UTM's from maps and enter them into the units and do it often. I can say this about the Delorme: It is built well and it fits great in your hand. It is really designed well and just looks good. The Topo software that comes with the unit is excellent, better then the Garmin software, however it is more complex then the Garmin software. I have a connection issue with the used unit I purchased thus I have not been able to use it with the unit. However it is not as accurate as any of the Garmin units I own. It is often off by 10 ...

  • Delorme Earthmate PN-20 GPS Receiver

THIS IS THE GPS for outdoor lovers. With fast loading, easy to access multi layers of maps, topo maps, and color satellite images you will be impressed. Recording trails, building routes, marking waypoints are a breeze compared to any other GPS unit and software I have tried. While outdoor GPS's are somewhat complicated by nature, the instructions with the DeLorme units are easy to follow. You can even use the GPS unit hooked up to a laptop to easily watch your movement live on the computer screen using the bundled TOPO software. I have found that using the DeLorme Earthmate PN-20 is just plain fun. I keep mine plugged into a USB power supply both on (and in) the vehicles and in the home. That way, battery consumption is near zero. I also have my camera clock synchronized with the DeLorme ...
