This mirror has two problems. 1. Every bump would cause the mirror to drop. I was having to readjust the mirror every two minutes on my typical ride. The ball joint for the mirror to mirror arm is tight and holds it position well. It is the ball joint on the helmet mounting plate that was not holding its adjustment. Using a spring loaded center punch to put small craters all around the pivot ball tightened the joint up enough that it now does not need to be adjusted very often if at all on my rides. It would be easier to do this before the mirror is mounted on the helmet. 2. My helmet is rounded where the mirror mounts and the adhesive tape provided did hold the mirror steady. Using hot glue fixed this problem. I also made sure there was no flex where the ball joint meets the helmet bracket by filling that gap between the mounting plate and the helmet at that point with glue. Now my mirror is solid and provides a clear view. I have successfully used hot glue before with other mirrors. Even after a couple years of use I found it difficult to remove from plastic. It did do mirror, but repairable damage, when carefully cut off from Styrofoam. Without modifications I would have given this product only one star. However, given the modifications required to get the mirror working properly were inexpensive and very easy to do, only one star was deducted. The mirror is a good size, provides a very clear image and can be easily be adjusted to provide an excellent rear view. In my opinion the mirror is just as important as the helmet. Preventing an accident is just as important as being protected from one.Read full review

The design needs to be improved on. Purchased 3 of them; one for myself, wife and daughter. Our helmets are all shaped differently due to our head sizes. While the mounting part of the mirror is probably designed to be attached to a smooth continuous surface, unfortunately, that's not the case as our helmets all had ridges and the 2 way tape lasted only a week before the mirrors fell off. Should have considered handlebar mount mirrors instead.

I had a feeling that the "pad" that attaches the product to the helmet would prove difficult. I did not feel the adhesive stickers provided would be sufficient as well. That said I ordered the product even with my reservations knowing I had the materials and skills necessary to make any adjustments once I took delivery. For those considering this product I used contact cement & clamps to attach the mirror and have plans to reinforce the glue with 1/8th-inch nuts & bolts to ensure the mirror will stay in place. This product is a solid 4-star and recommend it to others if they are willing (& have the materials) to perform a little extra work to install.

I've been using this mirror for over 20 years now. I commute to work every day, mainly with traffic, and this mirror is a must-have. I can say it has saved my life many times, or at least, helped me to take the right decisions many times. It work perfectly, mirror is very well designed and adapts to virtually any helmet. Cons: It lasts about two years. With time joints start to get loose until they're completely free. You can use nail polisher or similar products to cope with that, but eventually you will need to replace it. Two years is a good life span anyway.

This mirror was too small to be very useful to me. I also found it distracting in my forward vision. I was not able to adjust it to my satisfaction where I could see behind me without it being too much in the way of my forward vision. IMO, it could create a small 'blind spot' in my forward view that could potentially be dangerous. I'll just continue to turn my head (after making sure my forward path is clear) and look behind me I guess.

The mirror itself is great I have owned three of them over the last 10 years but they all come loose from the helmet because of the adhesive that comes with it isn’t good at all especially when most helmets have little flat spaces to use so even though the mounting plate is flexible it never stays solidly in place. I wind up having to use my own adhesives to get a better result

Works well with my 2020 Specialized helmet. Used heat gun to conform the pad to the helmet. Used VHB foam tape instead of the included non-foam stickers. Note that instructions are inside the cardboard hang tag.

Once installed it is easy to adjust and allows a good rear view. The only downside is that the adhesive included didn't adhere real well to the foam. I removed it and used contact cement , now I'm very happy with it.

This is the mirror that I put on all of my helmets! The quality is superb and it delivers a distortion free view of oncoming traffic. Best mirror I have found after testing over 10 other brands. I watched 2 separate accidents in which friends of mine were killed that this mirror could have helped prevent. I will not ride without it!!! This model is easy to glue or tape on and lasts as long as my helmets. As a former Race Across America age group winner (first on the scene to ANOTHER fatal accident during RAAM. that this mirror would have prevented) I will not train or race without it! Get a rear view system and be careful out there.

Great mirror that I put on my new Bell helmet. Installed per directions to the flat inner foam. After one week it's starting to pull away from the foam exposing strands of adhesive between the helmet foam and plastic mounting bracket. I wish it had worked. Pulled it off and bought a handlebar end mirror.
