  • A good and quick reference guide...great for kids too!

This is a very informative, quick and easy to use reference guide that has good color pictures and wonderful references to many North American mammals. Not every one is listed in here but I found many to most are. Without it, I would be very lost as to what kinds of wilds animals are in my area. I also love it's compact size instead of being a big, bulky, hard to carry around study guide. I haven't found it's equal or better yet. I use mine every year and I think every household should own a copy. A great family resource tool.

  • If you love the outdoors, you need these books!

I have lots of land on my property, and I am out in it all the time. I love animals, and have quite a variety out there. With this book I have found out that I have a very illusive animal called a "Fisher", based on the tracks I have seen, and compared in the guide. This guide has world class photos of every Mammal in North America, with descriptions of where the animal lives, what it eats, mating habits and what its tracks look like. These guides are gold to anyone who loves the outdoors. Buy them and enjoy them with the whole family. Best in the world!

  • Excellent reference book for North American mammals.

Everything I would want to know about the mammals of North America. Book is in perfect shape. Just what I wanted.

  • Great information, easy to use...recommend for book collection!

I needed this book to learn about the animal species in my area and this book greatly helped. This book has great pictures of each animal and displays the facts for easy review. The book is easy to use and well worth the money. It is small enough to carry around when hiking and isn't heavy. Would recommend this book for everyone interested in learning about the environment around them. Great resource book to own.
