    Perfect!

    The DVD is damaged but the story is true. Nice funny clean story with no guns, sex and drugs just a clean entertaining story which happens to be about the Queen of England. You will love the acting and how with a little luck and being in the right place you can end up in a great place.

    Superb

    Judi Dench is always superb. “Abdul” is gorgeous. While the film is about the devotion between these two dissimilar characters, it also gently reminds us of the rapacious nature of the British Empire of that time. Astonishing is that the Muslim man is able to display genuine affection and kindness toward Queen Victoria. Well done. Charming tale, some of which may be true.

    A very gripping snapshot of Queen Victoria's last years.

    It's Judi Dench at her very best ! And her young Indian companion is so sweet it breaks your heart ! I was utterly surprised of course, it was kept a secret all these years, but I am Thankful to the Royal family that they would allow this story to be told at last. It reveals just how shortsighted humanity once was concerning the different races of peoples God has made. And I never saw Persian writing before in my life !

    A GREAT MOVIVE

    As a life long fan of Dame Judith - had to see this movie when it came out. But it had such a small theater showing I had to wait for the DVD. WELL WORTH THE WAIT. One of the best movies of 2017! Both Judy and Ali were captivating. The story line was good - you felt for the characters and cried at the end.

    Wonderful film.

    For the the second time, Dame Judi Dench portrays the widowed Queen Victoria with her amazing genius for acting. The first film, Mrs. Brown, was excellent and this one is an outstanding film as well. If you are a Dame Judi fan or a history buff, this is one you will definitely enjoy!
