Great printer for what i need
Although this replaced the Epson 810 which I liked better because it was automated for the cd/dvd printing. this one you have to do manually. great quality, but the Epson ink is a little more expensive so I'm trying the more economical inks which seem to work fine so far only had one issue with a certain dealer but now all is good. wants you to confirm that your using a non Epson ink cartridge had to go through several steps to do that, but works. Printer doesn't work properly.
I spent a long time trying to get the printer to print properly. I replaced all the ink cartridges, and after a few tries of cleaning the print head, the screen told me that the ink cartridges were low and needed to be replaced. I had a printer just like this one which reached the end of its life, and had hoped to replace it with a working used one. Sadly, this one isn't working.

An all in one that really does do it all
I was looking for a printer to replace my old one. I wanted something that did not have proprietary ink cartridges as I had learned my lesson with those types of printers. I needed a scanner all in one machine and this one offered that too. It also offered direct inkjet printing to CD or DVD and I wanted that. I found this item, read the specs and was satisfied it would do everything I wanted for my small office. It was not disappointed. I like the fact that it has a separate ink cartridge for B&W printing. No more using up the other cartridges on printing statements or orders. The scanner works well. It did take a little longer for the setup program to install everything, but it has worked flawlessly since then, and the setup was smooth, step by step, no surprises on a win 7 machine and ... If I run out of paper it doesn't automatically cancel the print job as my old printer did, insteads it tells me and waits for me to fill the tray. All in all a very good printer with a fantastic price tag. The next time I need a new printer I will start out looking for an Epson.

GOOD DISPLAY WINDOW
I bought this unit because it uses inexpensive generic ink available on E-Bay. Works very well but does not have "print in reverse order". A small inconvience. Has reasonable printing speed.

I bought this printer because I have just started a graphic design freelance business and needed a printer to print work samples for clients. I was happy to find an all in one with ink included. It was very easy to set up and I can print to it wirelessly, which is super convenient. The print quality was not quite what I expected, however I think it may have been due to the fact that the ink that came with the printer ran out extremely quick, which was disappointing.
