Plain steel fastener. Will work, but is going to rust eventually. I’ll replace with a longer stainless steel screw & nut. Also, the clamp is small and will only fit in the last 2 inches of the chain stay tube before the dropout. The original cable stop is visible in my photo and is 4 inches from the dropout which facilitates a larger diameter final cable housing loop which reduces cable friction in the housing making shifts easier, faster, and more precise.
