If you're a fan of the "Ships Of The Line" calendars and books, or just love looking at the starships flying past on screen, this book gives you a glimpse into the designs and purposes of the major starship classes seen on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. Each ship is rendered as if screen ready, and has quite a bit of behind the scenes information. However, the book is not without flaws, I must warn you. Misspellings are evident for those that peer closely at the text. Some ship classes that were given attention in the series and films are shown on the cover, and in size comparisons, but not touched. Some classes that receive a grand total of ten seconds screen time in three seasons get the full treatment here. Also, some data is repeated multiple times within a few pages for certain classes. If you are a huge fan of the starships you see on screen, and want some esoteric information on the exotics, this book is for you. If you only want to concentrate your efforts on the main ships that appear in multiple films and episodes of Star Trek, there are better reference materials out there.Read full review

Another great book by Eaglemoss. Volume 2 is as good as volume 1. The artwork is stunning and the scale comparisons are quite interesting.
