If you are buying this because you think your buying a professional turntable then don't, it is no where near even close to a professional turntable. HOWEVER, if you have a vinyl collection that you want to play or convert over to a digital format and you are on a tight budget, then I highly recommend this turntable. I got it out of the box I plugged it into the computer USB port and plugged in the power. Downloaded and installed the EZ software as per the instruction manual and it just simply worked with no issues on Win10. The audio quality of the output in the file was pretty reasonable, at first I was kind of a little bit disappointed with the output, however there were a couple of factors that I really needed to deal with before I signed off the product as a dud. Firstly I was playing Vinyl that were in desperate need of a little TLC so I cleaned them with a white vinegar (not the white wine vinegar variety) and water solution, I also had to replace the stylus as it was quite warn, which was to be expected considering I was not buying a brand new product. I seemed to have a little trouble getting the right stylus I can only put that down to user error but once these two factors had been dealt with, the sound quality improved dramatically. There is still the factor of my low quality pc speaker but when using my headphones which are good quality the audio sounds full and not so lacking in terms of the range. In a nutshell if I had money to squander then I would definitely have paid out for a Professional turntable that had USB capability but my budget was super tight and so it was a means to an end. This fits the bill just adequately and although it will take some time chugging through my hundreds of vinyl converting them to digital files, it will mean that I will be able to listen to them which is the most important factor right now. Second hand very basic device. Has several features such as 33 1/3 & 45 RPM, auto-off and arm return, adjustable counter balance and USB for ripping. Everything it has works well. Not a high quality product, but that is reflected in the price. It suits my needs. Not using the USB feature, so cannot comment on that.

With so much time on our hands now, its an ideal time to convert both My and my mothers and fathers Collection of Records, going all the way back to my 1st Birthday in 1952. Combined with the easy way to use the Ion and connecting to my Mac, creating creating Audio CD's is a simple task.

I bought this second hand for £10 and I can honestly say its brilliant! I don’t primarily want to use it for the usb function but to have it there is a bonus. I wanted to listen to a few old LP’s and plug it straight into my amp. It does a great job! The sound is clear and crisp with nice base tones. Some records can sound a little toppy but I have an EQ and tone adjuster on my amp so no worries there. Its pretty easy to get the sound you are looking for. If you are thinking of getting your old records out for a trip down memory lane give it a whirl! Even if it costs you £30 it would be good value. I’m sure there are purists out there who would totally disagree with me and I am well aware that you can spend thousands on record players but, for the price tag its does a great job. I’m happy.
