    Great tool for the money

    This is a very handy bench block for 1911 and other guns as well. Not sure how well it will hold up being made of urethane , but for the money it doesn't have to last forever. It has a lot of 1911 specific functions for various tasks including slide mods, link-pin removal and replacement, and even holds the slide in place so you can stake in a new front sight on the early government type. For just over $20 it paid for itself the first time I used it.

    Make your own out of wood blocks

    This looks to be a one piece injection mold with rough edges. It might take a few beatings but I don't think it's going to survive more than a year. The first problem I can see is it's not going to stay in one place while working with it. Slides on the table like a hockey puck. Guess I need 3 hands. Save your money and drill some holes in a block of wood.

    Very Handy Tool

    I purchased the block to primarily work on 1911 pistols but I also use it for AR-15/AR-10's. I knew the primary design was for the 1911 but I thought it would work with AR rifles and it did. So the value of the block has increased in my opinion due to it's versatility. I would recommend this block to anyone needing it for 1911's and maybe find use with rifles as I have. I'm sure there are other uses for the block but I found two that makes it a very good value. It seems to be durable and should last a long time.

    This product is great for popping pins out of any firearm but it definitely designed with 1911 in mind . Great Item from a great company . I also have one of their master screw driver sets .

    Perfect for all handguns

    Even though it's specifically made for a 1911, this block will come in handy. I bought it to install a spring kit for my XDs. Worked like a charm and much better than a roll of duct tape. It's light, non-marring and will make easy work of any gunsmithing project.
