Thought I had a problem with the item and contacted Chris (seller) to arrange for a return - Chris was very responsive and replied quickly, was willing to work with me to facilitate a hassle-free return. The interchanges were also more than just one word replies. Chris is a total outlier in the eBay world.
In the end, it turned out his item was fully functional and the problem was on my end.
