Excellent Soldering Iron for delicate work
Bought this unit for installing 3528/5050 RGB/W custom lighting systems where there is no mains AC power and does the job well. I use Duracell rechargeable AA batteries and it's enough for me to get my work done. Brilliant soldering iron, good quality although a bit plastically but for the price you can't complain as well made and reliable. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a soldering. Not a tool for trade use
I have a portable gas powered soldering iron but thought this might be a great little alternative, sadly I was wrong it takes a long time to heat up struggles to melt even the thinnest solder and when I tried to solder one wire to a cigarette lighter it fell off moments later. I think this will just get relegated to the back of the junk draw. I’ll stick to using my portasol.

Brilliant little gadget
A superb little soldering iron BUT, my review is for the purpose for which I bought it. I got it for making holes in webbing for projects and for this it is great as it seals the hole. I also use it for those annoying labels on shirts and trousers that itch, the soldering iron melts those sharp threads and corners so it's comfortable. It is also good for welding plastic. As a soldering iron I don't know but for what I need, it is excellent. Battery operated so no cables and quick to heat up. Excellent product
This is an excellent product if your working somewhere with no power source. Heats up very very fast and solders good too. Well worth the money. Good quality product with protection cap for heating tip which also stops it being accidentally switched on. Best buy yet!

This is not a good soldering iron.
This soldering iron is rubbish. It doesn't get hot enough to melt even the solder that it's supplied with. I would sent it back if I haven't damaged the blister packaging getting it out. The only pro of this product is the price and the dispatch speed. Honestly - You're better off going with a named brand on this one.
