Small, simple booster for TV/computer/any external wired speakers, plugs right up to satellite box/anything with RCA's to raw speaker wire ... simple bass, treble and volume. I have a sound bar and sub woofers (found here) with separate volume, on off and tone controls, this unit runs them like a champ, two channel, right and left is all I need ... not 'professional' but works very well in my house (plug everything into a switched power strip for easy on off of everything) ... I'm happy, this unit does just what it's supposed to, what I want it to do, well worth the price.

There is a loud humming noise when I turn it on. It has nothing to do with the amplifier or the volume. My other pile amplifier works just fine. I think it’s just a defect. Since the volume of the audio will be stronger than the buzz, I can live with it. But would be reluctant to buy another one

I purchased this Pyle Pro PCA2 stereo amplifier to save energy. I usually have either music, talk radio or audio books playing in the background 24/7. I didn't need my more powerful amps just to play at low volumes 24 hours a day through my pair of JBL bookshelf speakers. The Pyle amp works perfectly for this and hardly gets warm unless you push it. Don't believe the ridiculous claim that this amp is rated at 40 Watts a channel. The manual admits it's actually 8 Watts/channel at 1% THD. This is plenty of power for many applications, especially when connected to a Windows PC or Mac/Linux system to get more oomph from computer speakers. It has separate bass and treble controls that are effective and the amp will provide plenty of bass for most people. I use mine with a stereo radio acting as a preamp so it can be controlled with the remote control on the tuner section. It's a little noisy if placed close to an AM tuner however. This is probably from the power supply and can be quieted by moving it farther away from the tuner. The Pyle Pro can drive small and efficient speakers pretty loudly without noticeable distortion but will distort when operated near the end of its volume range (75%). The unit is of good quality and has a steel cabinet. The controls have a good feel to them for the price. The amp is very quiet with no noticeable hiss or hum coming through the speakers. Its small footprint makes it easy to use in a wide range of applications. It's perfect for a small system to be used in a bedroom or any small room in the house. Remember, it's really an 8 Watt/channel amplifier so you can't expect it to fill a large living room or drive large speakers without straining it to the limit. Overall, I give the Pyle Pro PCA2 a Buy recommendation.Read full review
You have a TV with a great picture but lousy sound. Few flat screen TVs sold today have decent speakers. There's no room inside. Very few have an internal amp to power some external speakers either. What can you do? Well, there's that gorgeous home theater system that you can't afford. Or maybe grandma just isn't tekkie enough to operate one. Then there's all thos fancy sound bars or self powered multi-speaker systems. Those are great, but they cost many hundreds of dollars. With this simple, cheap, reliable amp you have all the power you need to power a pair of speakers you may already have or can get from a garage sale. No, you won't have the gorgeous cinematic experience like a home theater, but you won't be spending $$thousands either. You will enjoy dramaticall better sound than you get from just the TV. If that's all you are looking for, you can't go wrong with this amp.Read full review
I bought 3 pylepro amplifiers 2 model numbers pca2, pta2. Very satisfied and exceeded expectations. The problem is (low budget) finding low price speakers that are high enough wattage. Used with center channel speaker for educational dvds of which most are voice dialogue. Amplifier signal to noise is not perfect, but 95% good for me. Has very tiny back round static that is easily overcome by volume. By far: best bang for buck. Wish it came with a matching stereo speaker box same size. Review October 2011.
I needed a replacement stereo amp for a car dealership background music. I needed RCA inputs with bare wire outputs. Ta-Da!

As my hearing has deteriorated a bit over the years, I have needed help hearing the TV clearly. This amp, coupled with some small bookshelf speakers, fits the bill. Works just as expected.

This little amp works well to supplement the sound on a flat screen TV although small speakers are required because of the amp's low power output. Good sound though and does the job without the need of a soundbar at greater cost.

This is a great value! Solid build, strong output, coupled with my AR speakers I can just about bring the house down. Definitely would recommend for small system use.

I was running two small stereo speakers and my input was my mixer(running two turntables) and it started smoking day one. Strangely enough, it continued to work after but it was sketchy, and heated up and smoked once more. That was it, got an old technics 1981 vintage receiver. Works great on aux.
