I love Peter Cook and Dudley Moore but unfortunately most of their programs were lost, this collection of sketches is poor to say the least, more at their worst than at their best.

There is only one problem whit this collection of skits: it's far too short. Mind you: it could be last 6 hours and I would feel it's too short. Peter Cook is a brilliant comedian, actor. I saw no other man playing comedy parts with such dramatic potential. He could have been a great Shakespearian actor (just think of his devilish performance in Beedazzled). He took comedy to a new level. And Dudley Moore... I don't know how can someone be that ingenious in music AND comedy at the same time. He's an equal partner to Cook, and his music parodies are the classic pieces of the Oxbridge era. Believe it or not, I'm a skit writer and stand up comedy peformer in Hungary. And apart Monty Python and Woody Allen this two men had the greatest influence to my generation of Hungarian comedy writers. The skits most popular in Hungary are missing from this DVD (The Great Train Robbery, the Peach and Frog). But we are highly compensated for this. My favourit skit is the "It's Beethowen" program, and "A film in the Making"). If you like English Oxbridge comedy, you won't regret buying this DVD.Read full review
I bought it because Peter Cook and Dudley Moore were so clever and original when they first became known. Time has, however, not dealt kindly with them and I found this on the whole unfunny and tasteless. The best bits were Dudley Moore playing the piano. The most endearing ones were those when they both got the giggles. I gave it to a charity shop.
you beat this classic 2 cook and more their is not anymore comics like this at all now so i bought this dvd for history
