Pretty decent graphics - designed more from the manga than the anime. Cell shading has some cool ink-pen effects, and makes the characters feel more drawn. The gameplay is great, easy to pick up and feels like a combination of Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 and Super Smash Bros. The items seem a little unnecessary, and I almost never use them in a serious battle. The Ultimate Jutsus are amazing, awesome little cutscenes for each, (1st Hokage's is INSANE!) and there are 3 or 4 different ones to choose from for each character - on average. Some moves seem a little imbalanced, as the computer cannot guard against them on any difficulty, but honestly, it provides a nice fail-safe for particularly hard battles. The RPG mode has some cool controls, and I found leaping across the village from rooftop to rooftop to be a lot of simplistic fun. The Story Mode left a lot of battles to be desired, and it wouldn't have taken too much to add all the battles and different stages of battles from the series. Tenkaichi 2 it's not, but apparently we do have Ultimate Ninja STORM for PS3 to look forward to - which looks to be a much bigger success than DBZ Burst Limit. Great game overall, and it does my heart good to see the Fourth Hokage as a playable character for the first time!Read full review
I only think, out of the Naruto "US" games that are sent here this is probably the only one I think should be purchased. I played Naruto Ultimate Ninja 1 & 2, Naruto Clash of Ninja 1,2,3, Revolution & 4. And out of all the Naruto Games I played the only ones I like to play are from Japan and for Japan only like Naruto Clash of Ninja 3 & 4 also known as Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 & 4. So if you want better games other than this one get Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX, and 2 or Naruto Shippuden: Accel, and 2. But other than that for the "US" Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 (PlayStation 2) is by far the best Naruto Game imported to the US. The Game has it's strong points like a well given roster of characters from the Zabuaza saga all the say to the Sasuke's retrieval saga. Then the game has very easy and playable combos to figure out for people all ages. Then there's also a lot of this to do in the game with different missions and modes to do to be able to get all the characters Ultimate Specials. The only problem I feel there was is there isn't different levels of Ultimate Specials like there was for the games previous games. then the game's story-line doesn't go through the entire story it's cut up into bits of the story to where you have what they say is "important" parts in the story like the fight with Naruto and Neji but not the fight with Gaara and Rock Lee!? But all in all it's a pretty good game to add to your collection of Naruto...Read full review
The whole naruto ultimate ninja fighting series is amazing. I like the fact that gameplay is so fast paced, and you have many options of what to do and how to act. The enviroments are somewhat interactive, you recieve items from them, which is always fun. I'm not a big fan of other fighters, because they are so limited both in choices and environment, which might be why I like this one so much. As far as, the series goes I would rate it in order of 4,2,3,1 (with # 4 being the best) there reason for this is in # 3 the jutsu's(special attacks) are set up differently then the rest of the series and some of them are just to powerful. It helps to be familiar with the show, but you don't have to be. In my opinion, #4 is hands down the best fighter out there. Better then mortal kombat or dead or alive, or tekken or any of them. My only real complaint is there isn't enough blood in these games or limbs being hacked off, but if you can get past the lack of more "mature" graphics, the gameplay is very fastpaced and fun. But all in all it is a great game to play with a friend. It's not nearly as fun playing by yourself with this game, but that's just my personal preference.Read full review
The game was way easier than the first and second Ultimate Ninja games (which I still haven't beaten), and I was able to fully 100 percent everything in it (missions, story, all scrolls and characters unlocked, etc...) in 27 hours. Now that Ive finished it there is no point to play anymore cause there is nothing more to do. The story plot is shorter than that of ultimate ninja 2 and is sort of like ultimate Ninja 1 in that it is short and boring. There are some cool new features in it though that are not in the previous 2 titles like roaming around the map and being able to run up walls (:!!! Also there are scrolls u can collect for completing missions to trade for items or cash. There are 20 lvls to play on now!!! There are also a bunch of new characters that are way cooler than the previous titles. The ultimate system is a lot differnt in this one though. You don't have multiple attacks or scenes when performing your ultimate ninjutsu, You have to do them 1 by 1 and you cant change them during battle you have to select b4 the battle starts which is the most retarded way (in my opinion) of coming up w/this system. They could of kept the moves seperate, and at least let you perform multiple ultimates ( like lvl 1 bar, and lvl 3 bar in same fight) like in the first and 2nd games. A fun Game if you like the Naruto games and want to experience it in a whole new light. But way to easy and short to beat. Not worth ever touching again unless playing multi player w/a friend.Read full review
First off, the shipping was incredibly fast! It arrived surprisingly fast, days sooner than I thought on the earliest estimated date. Great value for good condition games. Can tell it has been used but still in good condition. All 4 games for half the price roughly. As for the games I've played before except for the 4th I love these and regretted giving them away so much I had to by them again. The graphics improve by the game but are nothing special even in their time. Other than that every other aspected is great and is really improved upon for each game. The amount of characters and kevels. As well as, the game modes, tons of content, and most important all the games are just fun and addicting! Even if you know nothing about the show I'd say these games are just great classic versus fighting games to rival others in the genre. The more you do know about Naruto the more its adds to the games and how good they are at the core. Overall the core elements are so good its easy overlook so of the redundancies and tedioum. Like anime or fighting games would recommend the series! Great buy!👍Read full review

This video game has brought hours of entertainment to my grandsons and they do not appear to being tired of it yet. They have played this game for years. I even had to replace it because they wore it out, then I had to buy another one when 2 of my grandsons went to live with their mother so they could play it there also. The story lines are intricate enough to keep their attention, especially my oldest grandson. The game does have fighting throughout, but I do not have a problem with it because it is very much like karate in that it is used when needed and in sparring to sharpen their skills. Throughout the game they have to make a myriad of decisions as to who fights or spars and what tools they will incorporate. They discover and make decisions about right and wrong, loyalty and how they stand in their many clans and relationships according to their actions and decisions. I think the graphics could be a lot better but the kids do not seem to care at all. The story is narrated as well as scripted so the kids think they are actually involved in the cartoon as their characters discuss their relationships and agendas. Plus, throwing light blasts brings them much pleasure especially when various colors are part of the action. There are no bad language or sexual situations.Read full review
I owned a PS3 but the Naruto UN3 pulls me back on playing PS2! It's definitely a great game to own. The multiple player gives you the option to change the control to raise the hit damages (instead of just following what buttons to push). I do not always follow the Naruto Series but the storyline in the game, can pretty much sum up the cartoon. It's a great, great game! PS2 lives.
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3, known in Japan as Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3 (NARUTO-ナルト- ナルティメットヒーロー3, Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3?), is the third installment in the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series. The game was released on December 22, 2005 in Japan, and in North America on March 25, 2008.[5] This game features the largest roster in the Ultimate Ninja series, with 42 characters, and follows the storyline up to the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. There will also be equippable jutsu like the second game. When two jutsu of the same strength clash, the game cuts to a mini-game, in which the player or players will have to press a button repeatedly, until either jutsu wins out over the other. In this installment, the player will be able to both induce temporary transformations (like Sasuke and the Sound 5's Curse Mark LV1 and Rock lee's Eight Gates) through special jutsu, and other, more permanent ones, that last the entire rest of the fight (like One Tailed Kyuubi Naruto and Curse Mark LV2). Like the previous installment, this game also has an RPG mode, but unlike Ultimate Ninja 2's RPG, this game's RPG will enable you to jump on buildings and will have a larger map, although the only place outside of Konoha that can be accessed will be Tanzaku Town. Players should note that the RPG section of the game is a sandbox type. After completing the Ultimate Contest plot players can explore and interact with different characters and repeat the missions as long as they wish. Along the way the even get to experience the so-called "filler cutscenes" such as Naruto taking a dip at the hot springs with Rock Lee/Might Guy or even treat to some dumplings with Anko, Sakura or Hinata.Read full review
NARUTO ULTIMATE NINJA 3 WAS EVEN BETTER THAN I EXPECTED WHEN I BOUGHT IT. IT WAS MORE THAN JUST A GAME IT WAS A FAMILY INVESTMENT EVERYONE YOUNG AND OLD CAN GET INTO THIS GAME. MY FAVORITE PARTS WERE THE 2 PLAYER BREAKROOM THERE WAS TARGET PRACTICE WITH TEN-TEN, WORKING OUT AND STRIKE A POSE WITH LEE, TREE CLIMBING WITH SAKURA AND MORE. I ALSO LIKE THE ONE PLAYER ULTIMATE CONTEST WITH A SURPRIZE ENDING I WON'T SPOIL GUESS YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY ONE TO FIND OUT. ALSO IN ONE PLAYER HERO'S HISTORY THERE ARE MISSION AND MANY MORE THINGS TO DO LIKE MOST YOUNG LEAF NINJA NARUTO HAS ALOT TO DO HE EVEN STOPS TO EAT WITH HIS FRIENDS DUMPLINGS AND LOTS OF RAMEN. SOME OF THE JUTSU ARE DIFFRENT FROM NARUTO ULTIMATE NINJA 1 & 2 IF YOU COULD ACE ALL THE BUTTON COMBOS IN GAMES 1&2 YOUR IN FOR IT THIS ONE WAS A CHALLENGE HOWEVER, IN 2 PLAYER VS. MODE YOU CAN ADJUST TO A ONLY SPIN OR ONLY PRESS ONE BUTTON AND NO MORE LONG JUTSUS LIKE ULTIMATE NINJA 2 THIS GAME GOES RIGHT FOR THE GOLD. YOU CAN CHANGE WHAT JUTSUS YOU DO AND NOT JUST WITHIN NORMAL YOU CAN LEARN NEW MOVES. I WENT THROUGH QUITE A FEW COMBOS BEFORE I FOUND MY PERFECT PAIR, BUT AFTER THAT I WAS UNSTOPPABLE. THIS GAME HAS ALOT OF UNLOCKABLE FEATURES AND 40 NINJA TO CHOOSE FROM WELL AFTER YOU UNLOCK THEM.I HAVEN'T UNLOCKED THEM ALL YET, BUT I DO HAVE HANIBI HINATA'S SISTER AND THE SOUND 4 OFFERING ALOT OF NEW BATTLES. ON THE DOWN SIDE I WAS HOPING CURSED DEMON SASUKE, NINE TAIL NARUTO AND DEMON FORM SOUND 4 WOULD BE THIER OWN PLAYERS IN THIS GAME, BUT IT WASN'T BAD JUST TOOK SOME GETTING USED TO. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS THE JUTSU TO BECOME DEMON FORM. WHEN I FIRST USED NARUTO ULTIMATE NINJA 3 I GOT A SURPRIZE NOT ONLY THE AWESOME!OPENING. I ALSO GOT REWARDED FOR BEING A HARDCORE FAN WITH A STARTING BONUS OF ALL MY UNLOCKED PLAYERS FROM MY NARUTO ULTIMATE NINJA 2 GAME PLUS SOME OTHER COOL STUFF I AM SURE I FORGOT. OH YEAH IF YOUR A GAARA FAN IN THIS GAME HES STILL AWESOME BUT NOT A KILLER SO MUCH WOW HE REALLY DID TURN NICER. SPEAKING OF GAARA YOU GET TO FIGHT SUMMONED BEAST, YEA THAT'S RIGHT LITTLE NINJA IN ONE CORNER AND IN THE OTHER WHAT ITS GAARA'S DEMON OR A SLUG,FROG WELL YOU GET RIGHT. NOW ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS GET THIS AWESOME GAME!Read full review
