The product works nicely. We went from one to two bars to three to five bars throughout the house. Since this plugs into your internet router, make sure the router is centrally located if possible. Just one big note. I was having a great deal of trouble with the initial setup because the unit was stalling where it was required to tie into the Verizon network. I spent a couple of hours talking to both my internet supplier and Verizon's Tier 1 tech support. However, when I was elevated to the Tier 3 support, the representative knew immediately what the solution was. Apparently, you need to contact Verizon and register the MAC ID number on the unit label. Nowhere in the instructions are you told this, nor have I ever seen anyone comment on the internet!!!! The tech support guy said that he is also frustrated that nobody seems to know this. Anyway, once the ID of the unit was register, it worked almost instantly.Read full review

I wished I would of known this before hand. the product probably works great but one thing I didn't know was you need fast wired internet to set up your booster. I got it configured by verizon in other words the old owners name taken off the booster. but I could not hook it up because my internet that I have was not fast enough.

The instructions for the Verizon 4G LTE Network Extender 2 make it sound like installation is plug-n-play, but after reading the helpful reviews, I found that there are some additional steps that I needed to take. I had to open a port (port forwarding) on my cable modem. The unit doesn't work over WiFi. It needs to be connected directly to internet with the ethernet cable. The initialization of the unit kept getting stuck on step 8a. I found it helpful to use the admin website to see what was happening during initialization. Access to the website is explained in the Quick Start Guide (Accessing Your Network Extender's Admin Website) and can be opened after initialization step 6. Also, the unit's MAC ID needs to be registered with Verizon Wireless on an account. This took me 3 calls to tech support. I think I may have given them an incorrect MAC ID at first though, so that's on me. My MAC ID included some zeros that I may have took for the letter "O" at first, so the issue of registering the correct MAC ID was probably on my end. Once the initialization was complete, the unit works great. It's nice to have cell service without having to install an exterior antennae. Good luck!Read full review

Tried to buy the item from Verizon and couldn’t get it so I went to eBay. My wife set it up in less than 1 hours and now we have full bars inside our house which is 1,800 sqft. Before we got it all our call dropped and we had to go out side or stand next to an open window. Highly recommend getting one especially if you’re working from home like we are
