Advantages In most respects the Kobo is a very good device. It has a nice screen, has a front light, has a good store for buying books at very affordable prices such as £0.99, has good software to manage it via pc, has bluetooth for audio books etc. Disadvantages There is one feature which is lacking and which has not been implemented on Kobos for at least 6 years - the folder view! For anyone transfering epubs from PC you will have some means of organizing these books, but the Kobo will just put them into a flat list with no hierarchy. You can still find books using search, but I was shocked to see the absence of this most crucial feature. It's like a car without a glovebox or radio. The OS is quite slow when navigating through menus. Panning left/right on pages is fast, but bringing up the menu takes about 2 seconds before anything happens. Closing the menu is ultra fast. The other thing i don't like is that there are no hardware buttons whatsoever.Read full review
