    Excellent Little Speakers at a Nice Price!

    I purchased these LOGITECH speakers for my portable media player because the sound quality wasn't too good on the player itself. I already had a pair of these Logitech Speakers hooked to my PC, so I knew they were excellent already. I've tried other speakers but these had a superior sound quality than the other brands I tried out. No it isn't like having BOSE speakers but for the low price these do the trick. These speakers have their own volume control knob which is a nice extra feature that most other speakers don't have. These need to be plugged into a standard wall jack or extension cord. They hook into the headphone jack on my media player and push out a nice treble and bass sound. If they are cranked up to the max the sound breaks up a bit, but that's a given with any economy ...

    logitech Z130 speakers - okay for low end applications

    i have a good hi-wattage pair of speakers for listening to music, but I wanted something just for the video/audio news. The Logitech fits the bill, but poor for music as the treble is terrible. At low volume, it's okay, but turn it up and it sounds tinny.

    Better that expected

    Are these speakers going to give you concert hall sound? Heck no!! What in the world are you thinking? Are these speakers better than what your laptop has? You bet! Are they worth the price? Absolutely! I often preview musical performances of pieces I'm considering to purchase for the band I conduct. These speakers are small enough to keep on my often cluttered desk, the separation is decent, and the audio range is quite good considering they are so small and plastic. When I listen to music, I feed the sound through some fairly high end speakers, but when I'm working, these are fine.

    Good quality sound at modest price - an improvement over built-in sound.

    The speakers are attractive and easy to set up, but if you are expecting deep bass, or deafening volume, look elsewhere. They are a great improvement over the tinny speakers found in laptops and monitors (assuming you want an a.c. powered speaker for laptop use). For me, they fit the bill perfectly: acceptable music and voice quality at a sound level that makes my wife tell me to "turn it down!", at a very budget price. Logitech seldom makes poor quality components, and these speakers are not an exception to their rule.

    Nice intermediate speaker for the office

    If you're wanting an entertainment room quality speaker this isn't the speaker set for you. They are, however, a nice desktop speaker for the office. If you're listening to music on the low to medium loudness side or just want to hear notifications they work great. They aren't that big, but they put out a nice sound. Like everything Logitech does they feel like they are made well and work in the range you are buying nicely. For a two piece speaker set, they do just fine. For the price you can't go wrong.
