Before buying this camera I had read a lot of reviews with different minds about it. Some people says it has good zoom and high quality video, some says it's very noisy. So i was ready for most disadvantages of this camera. I would like to collect all pros and cons i've noticed so far. 1) Camera has wide angle, it is very good for shooting sceneries, but it means that 24x zoom is not so significant if you'd compare with non-wide angle camera (about 1,5 times difference) 2) 12 MP and 24x zoom is definitely maximum for 1/2.33" matrix 3)Camera has RAW, but i don't use it. May be, you'll find this option very important. Especially for noisy pictures. 4)Camera has good design, it is easy and small(i expected larger size) 5)Quality of video is really good 6) I compared this camera with canon SX40 and Fuji. Fuji has more attractive design it feels better in my hands and i don't know why i didn't buy it. Canon has more smooth picture on high ISO, but design is very bad, it feels bad in hands and it is very cheap and plasticky. 7)High ISO is the most weak point for this camera. You can use maximum zoom only on sunny days. Also you have to use tripod to get high quality picture. So if camera has good design, good video but cannot make good pictures on high ISO, is it good camera? Yes, if you don't want to take more heavy and expensive camera. You'll get what you pay for.Read full review
I was very familiar with that camera; I need a replacement for mine (was damaged accidentally) . What was better that I expected was the condition of the one I got through ebay. It was not perfect, but in very good condition. The digital display had some minor scratches, but I was able to replace it with my camera's display rather easily. It is refreshing to deal with honest people.

Packed with features and a 600mm zoom for a low price. Good camera to have in your "photography toolbox" or in the backseat of your car for when you need one. Sensor can be grainy, especially at full zoom, but for the cost, you can't beat it.

Bought product because old Olympus ultra zoom had significant shutter lag and missed too many good pics. This camera has better zoom and almost no shutter lag. Very good low light performance without flash. Flash tends to wash out shots. Controls are logical. Menus easy to access. Pivot and tilt LCD screen very good and convenient.
By far the best FZ camera in series yet. The features have been mentioned many times so here's what I loved about it in addition. Threads on the lens and barrel for being able to add filters and aux. lenses. Menu system that follows previous FZ cameras--I've had four now. Ability to use a shutter release cable. Ability to use after market battery. I really can't see where 99.99% of people would even consider a dSLR camera over this Pany. It's just a great camera but like anything you have to take the time to learn its feature and the basics of photography.
I love the Panasonic camera, this is my 4th I've had. This model has a hotshoe for external flash, the rotating lcd screen, and 24x optical zoom. You are able to screw on filters, etc to the lense. The only thing I haven't liked about these cameras is that the battery/SD card slot is on the bottom, and if you use a tripod, you must take it off the tripod to change the battery or SD card. That inconvenience was not enough to deter me from getting another Panasonic. I love the clear pictures I get, and many people comment all the time about the nice pictures it takes. The movie feature is activated by pressing the red button on the top, after you set the dial to movies. It takes great HD movies as well as ability to use zoom in the movie. I'm looking forward to taking the pictures for our church photo directory, where I can really put it to the test. I didn't want to invest in a DSLR camera, this is the next best thing for me. Get one, you won't be disappointed.Read full review
I did a lot of research before I decided on the FZ150. Originally I wanted the Cannon T3i but I couldn't shell out $800. So this was the best camera for the money with the exception that Cannon had a similar model with a more powerful zoom. However, the Cnet review said the FZ150 beat it in picture and movie quality slightly, and it was a little cheaper. So far I agree with that review. It takes great shots in low light, which was a big deal for me due to the fact that I take a lot of movies and pics of my daughter singing performances that only has stage lighting. The built-in condensor mics sound great but be careful in windy outdoor situations. I taped a piece of foam I had from an old microphone wind filter and it helped a little with a light breeze but I need to do something else for stronger wind. I've only began to scratch the surface of trying out all the features of this camera. It's very lightweight which makes it feel a little on the cheap side but it doesn't fatigue you like the heavier cameras, which is great for my arthitis. Functions for movie playback review was a little confusing at first but eventually I figured it out. I don't like the manual, too vague. The software that comes with it is okay but I'm using a different software for pic and movie editing. Overall it's a great camera and if you have a small budget like I did you will be pleased.Read full review
I have used this camera for the past 5 years with no complaints, issues, or problems whatsoever. For anybody looking for an all-inclusive, high end point-and-shoot camera, this blows others in it's price range out of the water. Image quality is extremely good, and paired with a large zoom lens and a ton of features, I don't ever plan on changing! High speed video and Full HD video are awesome features that should not be overlooked! If anyone has any questions about this camera, don't be afraid to shoot me a message! I can't rate it high enough!
I bought this camera because of past ownership of 4 other Lumix digital models and ratings I read. This is the best digital camera I have come across. It beats D SLR's because 1 lens zooms from 25-600 35mm equivalent = a lot in one lens. And the Zeiss lens takes great resolution pix with the 12.1 mp CMOS sensor. The image stabilization on these cameras is as good as it gets, I take hand-held shots at full zoom (30x optical=600 mm eq) with great resolution, though I do suggest a sand bag or tripod for these type shots and especailly for night light pix. I've printed 16x20 pix from this camera and the resolution is excellent, better than my old film Nikons. Battery life is very good, I've never run it out even taking over 300 full-res pix in a day. The charger will work fine in 110 or 220, so no need for a tranformer. This camera is not a pocket camera, but it's features are worth packing around a small, light-weight case. The HD video quality is very good played on an HD TV. I'd recommend this camera to all serious enthusiats who want a lot in one oight-weight package, and do not want to pack around a D SLR.Read full review
I bought this camera because a friend of mine has one and it takes great pictures. I really like pretty much everything about the camera. The one thing I don't like is that when looking through the view finder & even the picture screen, the pictures look blurry, funny color but when viewed on the computer I would say 95% of all the pictures I have taken so far with it have turned out great. I would buy this camera again. It's not like my Nikon D7000 but it is a great little carry around camera. I have had several smaller digital camera's and this one is number 1 with me so far.
