Fantastic little lens!
One of Canon’s most underrated lenses. Not to be confused with the myriad of plastic mount 28mm to 80/90/105 that end in f5 kit zooms, this lens was designed to be a high quality travel zoom for serious photographers. It’s as sharp as the 24-105mm f4 L IS, at about half the size and weight and without the IS. AF is fast, accurate and silent. A real bargain these days.

A good value general purpose film lens
Doesn't go quite wide enough, and it's optical quality while satisfactory still lags well behind the 20th century primes. But it's reasonably versatile, well built and these days represents incredible value.
