    I am revising my comment as they did refund my money and had a hard time with the shipping. The parts showed up today the 7th and were exactly as described. I wont blame the seller for the delays as Fed-Ex and the post office screwed up. I only gave 1 star for shipping as Fed-Ex is a lousy shipper and I have had only good luck with USPS and UPS. But thank you for taking care of this issue!

    Why did 7.3 owners tolerate slow starters for so long?

    This starter cranks twice as fast as my old one. No need to plug in the block heater in 20 - 40 degree weather. One of the mounting bolts is even harder to get to than on the stock starter. Hard, but not impossible, an extension slightly longer than the starter case with some patience will do the trick.

    Best starter around!!

    Im the owner of a paving company with tons of trucks over the years, and I’ve replaced many starters... unfortunately I haven’t known about these great alternatives, till recently... they are very fast compared to factory, super reliable, and I’ll NEVER buy anything other then these replacements if my other trucks need... it starts my early 99 7.3 power stroke up in literally 2 seconds!! Compared to the factory brand new one I had put in few years ago... even when it was a day old it started very slow (4 seconds on average). I also have a remote starter installed and it used to attempt to start two, even three times before it would fire, now it’s the first time, every time!!! GREAT PRODUCT, DEF RECOMMENDED!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!!!

    XDP gear reduction starter is Amazing!

    My 7.3 powerstroke used to crank over about 6 to 8 revolutions before it would start. I thought my batteries were dying and wanted to try one of these starters and "WOW", now it's like I barely touch the key and it fires up. Definitely worth the money! Just get one and you won't be disappointed!
