    What arrived was obviously a return from another customer. The right ratchet mechanism was stripped and loose in the container. They will answer your first question, but not really anything useful from it. I decided not to fight it and repaired it in my shop. Shoes are definitely comfortable, but the top ratchet mechanism does not stay tight. I've bought cheap bicycle shoes that work so much better than these.
