Maybe better than the Yagi, but forget 200 mile
I bought this to replace a Yagi style roof antenna that was hit by lightning. This does not have so many points to connect with lightning and is probably less prone to wind damage. Both received about equally. I have flat terrain and the antenna is 20 feet up. I get good reception from 30 miles away, but so does a $10 indoor flat panel antenna. I get spotty reception from 60 miles away with the antenna aimed directly at the transmitting antenna. I tried a signal booster amplifier in line with and in place of the supplied module and lost all signal. This antenna has a higher quality cable than the similarly priced Yagi style that it replaced, Reception is similar. Unless you live on a mountain top, do not expect 200 mile reception.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A good value to the little extra price.
I bought this model to replace a less expensive antenna. I needed a small antenna to pick up the local stations here in Dallas, TX. This unit it much stronger built ad shoul survive the 6 MPH winds we sometimes get. Th antenna gives 90 % signal strength on all the major cahnnels. My only concern is the lights are not as stated.
The item works well, however, the indication lights does not function as the manual states. The lights stay yellow for all operations. I tested it prior to installing on roof and the lights are yellow. All connections are IAW the operations Manual, however, the lights are yellow at all times. Not worth it.
You can not tell in what direction is turning or where is pointing because it turn by itself at the end. Can not use the splitter up on the antenna because it doesn’t have a direct pass thru output for the control voltage.
