Replaced an NS-2 with this one...

Not my first rodeo with Behringer pedals, I find the NS300 to be effective and solidly built. Plastic? Yeah. But strong... I've never broken one over the years of playing pro. Bought it to replace a Boss NS-2 that quit on me. Does the job it is supposed to and is every bit as adjustable and tweakable as the Boss unit. If you want to spend another $60 for a metal case on the same function pedal, be my guest. But I will stick with the Behringer which does what it is supposed to do, and sits on my board with other Behringer brothers and some Boss pedals, too. They used to say that Arion pedals were cheap and junk in the 80's. Now try and find one under several hundred dollars! They had a sound that has become recognized as quality and the price tag had nothing to do with it. I have an Arion original chorus pedal and flanger that I wouldn't trade for a sack full of other brands...

Not the greatest in a live setting

I got this pedal because I read reviews that said it was similar in capability to the boss noise suppressor pedal. It works okay for feedback reduction but it doesn't really get rid of amp buzz. It also colored and overcompressed my clean tone. I'd just spend a little more and get a boss or other good noise reduction.

  • fine quality and a genuine bargain!

This is a clone of a popular Boss pedal, and it succeeds in replicating the Boss' performance. It is 1/3 the cost of the Boss. Behringer has "copied" many name brand pedals, undercutting their high prices too. They are a German company with a huge music equipment production Chinese factory integrated 'city' that they manage. The engineering is German. Assembly is in China. I don't know where Boss is assembled. Aside: I also have a small Behringer amp that rivals a particular Fender in every way. (I really like Fenders, btw). It's a copy of sorts, but with simulated vacuum tube solid state circuitry. It also sports a 2" larger speaker - a Bugera. This noise reduction pedal's guts are encased in a heavy plastic box. It looks/feels like it will take normal to harsh treatment without any ill effects. Throwing it hard against a wall might dislodge something, of course!

  • Great pedal works as it should!

This pedal works great! I have a pedaltrain mini with 5 pedals including od's, distortions and one mxr phase 90. Using pedal combinations will still give you unwanted noise even with noiseless pickups. Put this pedal after all those pedals but before delay in your chain and you're all set. It has an effects loop for the 4 cable method, but I found it works better with my rig going directly from pedals into noise gate then out to my delay and finally amp.

  • Noise Pedal review

The pedal works good for stopping the noise from coming through the speaker when using a distortion pedal. You can also set its sensitivity.

  • great value

takes getting used to. Does not just clean up the fuzziness. It takes away a lot of my sustain , and sometimes its better turned off. I like it, just need to play with it more.

  • Great Noise Reducer

Works exactly as it should. It's basically like a squelch circuit in aviation communication. Does a great job of silencing the electrical noise/buzz generated by my pedal board. Very pleased, especially at such a great price!

  • awesome noise tamer

I had an un-tamed distortion pedal that was REALLY out of control, roaring without even being played : and now it knows its place and noises up only when and how I want it to.,,,I love behringer pedals... usually the more knobs the better, but this 2 knob can dials in really precise, or wider range, simplicity in its finest!

  • Tone killer

While this pedal does exactly what it’s suppose to do . Reducing hum and noise. It would also prevent my guitar strings from ringing out. If your playing a lead and want the tone to sustain, this pedal will cut out the signal .

  • Behringer EQ700 - Excellent buy!

I PUT a Martin "332 Thin line" pickup system in my D18 and the guitar was really brassy or tinney sounding unless I turned my Ion "Block Rocker" battery powered amp way down. When I installed the Behringer EQ700 equalizer between the guitar and amp, the sound rerally came to life! I was able to get the plugged in D18 sound I wanted. It is really a "top shelf" "sound purifier"
