Great upgrade from older version.
I bought this to replace an older 402G and this difference is amazing. The picture quality is streets ahead especially at night with it having a built in polarising filter. The menu is very easy to use although I've not used the Bluetooth connection or Alexa yet. The only thing to be aware of is if you are upgrading from an older dash cam that is hardwired in then it wont fit the newer ones as these draw more power to enable them to run a rear camera as well if required so you'll have to have a new kit fitted or just plug into your cigar lighter socket. Don't believe the 'Praising videos'
I spent a number of hours looking at videos on this camera, probably 99% sang the praises of it... What they don't tell you how tricky transferring files(some very large) to your mobile,or that you need the internet running to use alexa,and the narrow field of view compared with other cameras. They responded: we opted for better fidelity of picture in the middle and not have the buildings curving on the outsides. Get the right micro sd card!...i took details off the nextbase card and bought the same spec,but cheaper!,mine has an integral micro sd card. The magnet on the front cam is very strong,the magnet on the rear was rubbish!,a circular cam which rotated when my tailgate closed,because the cable 'pushing' it due to the weak fastening. I had to put some adhesive foam on the body to prevent it rotating. Nextbase sent out a replacement quite quickly(after i complained)and it has more of a magnetic base. Picture on both are good,if fitted,the rear cam has a reversing camera capability,tap on the screen,on the small window rear cam and it becomes a reversing camera. Routing the cable wasn't a problem, depending on what car you have!..my mk3 focus,i routed the front cam over the left side of the car,over the mirror, and the rear,to the right,managing to hide about 90%. In general,its a good for the price,a few niggles getting the angles right...but ok

Poor Bluetooth connection
I bought this because it had Alexa and to replace my old one, the camera I self is good quality and has excellent resolution and is simple to set up and navigate. The problem is with Alexa, the connection between the phone app and camera keeps disconnecting, also when u talk to it you have to speak very loudly and then it will answer on your phone, not good if your phones in your pocket and volumes not at max, this for me is a serious distraction as u end up frustrated with it, my radio is Bluetooth and takes calls via Alexa when I manage to shout the command out, Alexa does not speak on the speakers though as it says she will. There is no manual with it but this is available online. Overall very disappointing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hi res, small size great device for police / insurance evidence
Very impressed with 522gw and rear cam. you can download an app for the phone to quick transfer low res video. If you want to keep hi res you need to put card into PC. But the software you download for pc is excellent. It shows the video, location on a map, GPS details, Time and date although you have to set that manually. Size of both cameras is excellent, you can only really see them if you're too close and then it's too late for Audi boy racer. It really provides a comprehensive collection of evidence for police and insurance. Even if you were hit from the side and the video doesn't capture it you would still have enough evidence to show your speed / position etc... And you can grab the front camera and point it at the impact as it will continue to record with battery once disconnected from power.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good quality but small screen
I have 2 other Nextbase dash cams in our other cars, the duo type. I bought the 522GW because I liked the idea of the separate camera fitted at the back of the car, as the rear view picture on the duo is small. It was easy to fit the 522GW and hide the cable in the door rubbers. I experienced DAB radio interference when the rear camera was installed. Nextbase support were very helpful, and the issue was I might have fitted the camera next to the DAB aerial embedded in the rear view window. I moved it to the opposite side and there's no interference now. The rear camera swivels on a magnetic base so it's easy to get a good picture of the road behind you even when the camera is fitted to one side. The dash cam is easy to set up as it's menu driven. The screen is quite small, and again, the rear view is even smaller in one corner of the dash cam. I will only find out if the dash cam is any good, if, I am unfortunate enough to have an incident. I bought the dash cam and the rear view camera as a bundle. I also decided to hardwire the dash cam via the car fuse board.. It was a bit fiddly running the cable and some electrical knowledge/multimeter is useful to identify a fuse which is only live when the ignition is on. You can wire into a permanent "live" fuse but you're obviously draining the battery, although the Nextbase blurb states the dash cam will switch off if it senses the battery voltage drops under 12volts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good all round cameras
The camera is easy to use with some great features but beware if you buy the 522GW (I imagine the 322 and 422GW are the same) with rear camera it needs a U3 memory card to function it doesn’t make this very clear and only very small print in the instructions or on the site. The rear camera doesn’t work if this card is not present, personally I would expect Nextbase to provide this with the unit if it can’t function without it and without the rear camera doesn’t work.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great front and rear camera.
Excellent product, although manufacturer refurbished it looks like new. Arrived properly packed with additional windscreen adhesive patch. Cable length good, allowed to fit the 12v cigarette style socket to connect to rear centre console after tucking cable into headlining and behind panels. Rear camera similar. Good camera very poor connection to Alexa only connects now and then , if you do t want it for Alexa then buy the cheaper one
This is a good item as far as camera etc goes but the reliability of connection to Alexa in my case anyhow is terrible , it has connected twice in the last 2 wks , so if you don’t need it for Alexa definitely but the cheaper one. I have used phone advice twice but it’s push reset button etc , but never got mine resolved Also mine runs very very hot but was told by nextbase advisors this is normal but I have had mine freeze 3 times so far and could not power off so had to push reset each time. Pleased as new and was the price of a secondhand one.
Already own one, just got fed up swapping it over to my classic car and back,and then forgeting some times. Has never let me down In the 4 years I`ve owned it. Unlike other one`s I`ve owned, when I needed footage I`ve found non has been recorded, even thought it acted like it`s working ok then I started the car.
