    Great lens ... very versitle but not so good in low light

    I love this lens as an all purpose lens so I don't have to carry a heavy bag to be prepared for all occasions on a shoot. It is just a little bit bigger and a little bit heavier than my kit 55-250 zoom but a lot lighter than larger lenses. Lens cap fits easily and securely. I like the lock feature to keep it locked in the shortest position when not in use. It is a little snug when using manual focus but I don't mind. Auto focuses great in bright light. You may want to use manual in lower light settings. I have had difficulty inside, at dusk, night and early morning. I marked my rating as a 4 for this reason. All pics are 300 mm focal length or better on a crop sensor camera with the Tamron lens.

    Not lucky with the copy.

    I saw a lot of good words about this lens. But my copy was extremely soft and not sharp. The only good thing I could say - center and all corners were absolutely identical. If lens woul be sharp, it would be most perfekt. I was not lucky, sent it back. Hope other peop[le will be more lucky with theirs copys.

    Great lens

    It’s a great lens, very quiet focus and takes great photos and no lens creep unlike the Canon 18-200mm. In my opinion it’s way better in quality than the canon.
