    X10 is obsolete but still works.

    I’m using this to monitor my sewage grinder pump. The pump gives me the contact closure for its status. Then this device transmits to my pc which records the status. It works well except for when any other x10 device is also communicating at the same time - then the messages are lost. So in the future I think I will avoid x10 due to occasional lost messages.

    PSC01 Review

    I use this product in a condo building to monitor the garage door(open or closed). There is a light several places around the building that is on when the door is open. With our Minnesota winters it is important that the door is closed as much as possible. It also provides security. It operates well with one exception in that it has a short operating life. I replace it every 12 to 18 months.

    Used as an interface between Z-wave and X10

    Purchased a Z-wave socket and plugged this in, controlled some of my X10 devices very nicely. Typical Z-wave-to-X-10 translators cost north of $200, this was a cheap alternative.
