    Cutting EDGE 1030

    Great bike computer. BIG screen for us older riders. It was a little slow to get the app and the Edge to connect but now that it has it synced up nice with Garmin connect. This was during all the problems that Garmin was having with it everything. runners could not log miles or steps. That seems to have been cleaned up now and it works like it should. I have not had the opportunity to use the emergency function and I do not want to, but that is a really cool feature.

    Garmin Edge 1030 Bike Computer

    I does a lot of riding sometimes 100mls i have the 810/1000 and this new 1030. The battery life is fantastic connection to satalite very fast with a wider screen. Screen view is very clear with more feature definately this is the best bike computer on the market right now definately recommend.

    Garmin Edge 1030: a Winner

    There's a lot to like about the Edge 1030. First, the screen is super legible. Both the clarity and sharpness are an improvement to what I was using before: an Edge 810. And it boots quicker, too. Some of Garmin's defaults are hard to figure out. For example, it comes out of the box with the backlight constantly on, on auto-brightness: a battery killer. And if you choose the small, scrolling elevation graph as a data field, note that no one at Garmin knows how it works. It scrolls constantly, showing you the last minute and forty seconds of your riding--or your standing still--it doesn't stop when you do. All in all, though, it's a good unit so far, and I'm glad I upgraded and chose the big screen.

    The best cycling computer in the market. For those who really use their bicycles, it is an essential tool and adds a lot of experience. In comparison to other garmin computers, this one is by far a better option. However, I think next generation will be a huge jump given the technological advancement lately.
