    Compelling, heart wrenching

    This book is hard to read from the standpoint of content. Though slaves have been captured, sold and used since ancient times all over this planet, this more recent historical novel brings the idea closer to home. Well written, this is a clear view of daily life in an era we as humans may prefer to forget.
