  • With a little luck

I brought this record when it came out in 79. I was 12 and had seen the videos for London Town, With a little luck, and Mull of Kintire on those late night weekend TV shows like Don Kirshner. Special permission to stay up late for a beatle appearance :) Paul's charm is center stage for an album with an uncharacteristic reliance on synthesized keyboards. Even to this day I can't decide if I like them, but the album has a handful of great tunes and the addition of Mull of Kintire is worth the price of admission. One of the tributes to a good album is how you love tracks like "I've had enough" and "London Town" and "With a little luck" right off the bat, but tracks like "Cafe on the left bank" and "Backwards traveler" worm their way into your head a bit later and you find yourself singing them when they come on.

  • McCartney in his prime, at his best!

Love this cd, had the record as a teen. Brought back a lot of memories. McCartney in his prime...at his best! With A Little Luck is still so good after all these years...

  • Underrated, like a lot of Wings albums

A lot of Wing's later output is underrated in my opinion. This is the album that started that trend - people weren't thrilled (for some reason) with the title track, and since it is one of the most commercially-accessible tracks on the album, it was all downhill from there. But, in the past, I've found non-singles on Wings albums that I definitely enjoyed (eg "Wino Junko", "Beware My Love") and hadn't heard at all until I picked up the source album, and I happened to like London Town (the single), so I was hoping for the same serendipity. The good news is that "Girlfriend", a track that I didn't rate very highly, is a lot more enjoyable than I remembered it, and "Mull Of Kintyre" (a bonus track) is not as cloying as I remembered it. The bad news is that most of the other tracks are fairly unmemorable. Still, those tracks in this context qualify as those wished-for "bonus highlights", and some listeners will find others. So, if you like any of the named tracks from this album+extras package, it represents good value.

  • McCartney Gold

This is the most underrated album in the McCartney catalog. I know Wings were in flux ,as a band, and this was a emotionally time consuming labor of love. All the efforts shine through. It is one of the few albums that I would say has no bad song on it. Don't Let It Bring You Down is a classic I never get tired of hearing. Morse Moose And The Grey Goose awesome. With A Little Luck is only one I can skip but that's only from being overplayed on the airwaves. If you don't have this in your collection. Get it. I hope it is reissued on vinyl so I can replace mine. I have the CD but the vinyl "acoustic warmth" is missed by my ears and heart.

  • London Town brings back memories!

Great album of a much better time for the World. Linda was well and Wings was at a peak in music history. I remember hearing some new tracks on the way to work and the DJ commenting this is the way the Beatles would sound today 👌. Thanks it's a Wonderful sounding cd! John ♡♡♡.

  • London Town 93 remaster

Such an underrated Wings album. Paul cleaned up a lot of his albums from 1970 to 1989 from the Paul McCartney collection. This album deserves a bit more credit in my opinion.
