  • Rare movie that changed my mind - offered proof from scientific/atheistic community of Christ's Physical Death and Resurrection

Incredible movie - at the beginning of the movie - I was an agnostic - fallen away Catholic - not a fan of religion - still not - believe in God - believed in Jesus Christ - but thought the resurrection and assumption into heaven was more metaphorical/spiritual body vs. physical body. Now - I believe that the Physical Jesus died and rose again not because of faith based community (upbringing - 8 years Catholic school) but because of the scientific (mostly atheistic) community and evidence presented in this movie. It's strange - it's the atheists / scientists proofs that have changed my mind about Christ's resurrection and evolution. Crick and Watson (atheists that discovered DNA) said there's no way something this complex got here because of evolution - no way - again they were atheists - that won the Nobel Prize in Genetics for their discovery of the DNA molecule - pretty smart guys - with no religious agenda - saying no way evolution explains/is responsible for/created DNA.

  • This is so Good.

This movie is sooo well done... Everyone should be blessed to have this director do the movie of their life. The lead actors selected are perfect for their roles, - and interesting choices, given their prior movie roles. I believe the lead actress is truly Christian... (no one can act that good.) My wish is that she would denounce her upbringing and just admit she believes in Jesus as Lord. Honestly, I didn't think much of Lee Strobel at first. Even in the beginning, when i was reading everything apologetics, his book didnt intetest me- though it was recommended by people I respected. Later, i did read "Cold case detective" by J Warner Wallace. He seemed credible; Lee Strobel seemed full of himself. But after seeing this movie, I have the utmost respect for Lee Strobel.. The love- True love he had for his wife, and what he did with his life- even after the book. I would Highly recommend this DVD, and have bought extra copies. One complaint about the DVD is the audio level seemed low; I had to turn the volume up.. (Maybe that was unique to my DVD).. I did notice it was made in Mexico, which may or may not have had anything to do with the sound quality. It was clear, and both the sound and video quality were excellent. Buy one, then by one for your friends.. Itll change your life.

  • Smarty-Pants Atheist

It always amazes me how positively sure people are that Jesus was just a good guy. If that's all he was than he was a big fool. In this video, the resurrection of Jesus is the point of contention. An atheistic couple go to a restaurant with their daughter who starts choking and is saved from the brink of death by a Christian nurse who was led by the Lord to eat at this particular restaurant convincing the mother that without the nurse there the child would have died. The mother begins to reconsider her atheistic position after what she believes is indeed a divine intervention. The husband feels this is now a threat to their wonderful, happy marriage, resents the nurse for leading his wife astray and wants his old atheist wife back not this new-believer type. The characters who give answers to the husband regarding the resurrection are cast well. I didn't give this movie 5 stars because it needed a bit more detail in why a person becomes an atheist just because they have suffered in the past.

  • Excellent movie

This is a great movie for fact -based people who doubt the existence of God and Jesus Christ. Shows how a person will search for answers for all the wrong reasons and how powerful love can be. However, I felt at times that I was watching myself. I never did not believe in God, because during my dark times I blamed him for all my troubles. I had to have control of my life, no matter what. I could definitely identify with the main character Lee Strobl.

  • Entertaining and thought provoking

This is an excellent movie that will help anyone who is struggling with whether Christianity is real. This is a true story set in the 1980's of a Chicago Tribune award winning reporter who sets out to prove that Jesus was a hoax. The Cinematography and acting is very good. This is not a "B" rated movie. It was very professionally done. It is entertaining plus very educational. My wife and I really enjoy it and will watch it again.

  • A Detective Story about Christ

This film shares a husband's effort to "disprove" his wife's belief in Jesus as a savior, working from the premise that Jesus never died on the cross and that the "resurrection" was all a sham. He's a journalist, so he's used to researching in-depth stories, and that's how he approaches the process. But all too soon he begins to realize that the evidence is too overwhelming to be ignored. The film is never preachy, but it does touch on religious themes--and it is thought-provoking. It never tries to "convince" the viewer, but it does encourage viewers to make their own decision based on the evidence. Well acted and very convincing.

  • The Case for Christ (DVD 2017) Excellent Movie

A story well-told about the author of the book with accurate details and research cited to support "The Case for Christ". One section has some implied approval of the Roman Catholic Church (and thus it's erroneous doctrines) and the Shroud of Turin (which is controversial and should not be used as any sort of evidence). With these small caveats in mind, it is well worth watching and a good witnessing tool.

  • best movie I've seen

this is a fantastic movie because it is a true story. Everyone can relate to true stories because: they're true. The characters/actors are excellent in how they interact, the time period is a plus for any baby boomer to relate to, seeing the cars, phones with cords, and the infamous hairstyles all bring a well rounded viewing experience. Everyone can relate to some aspect of this movie.

  • Worthwhile Movie

I have read most of Lee Strobel's "Case for.."books.This film shows his struggle to find the truth while his initial intention was to disprove the reality of who Christ is. Characters are well portrayed and easy to relate to.

  • Amazing true story of the power of God to reach a searching soul.

Real life story of a mans quest to disprove Jesus resurrection hoping to influence his wife from her recent conversion to Christ. Very good! As are all Lee Strobel's books.
