The center and tip pieces are not marked (but hard to imagine they wouldn't be sterling). A little green staining picked up from the green velvet in the case, looks it stained into the white material (does not clean off). I don't know what the black material is, I assume it could be ebony but I can't say. Baton is straight with no loose parts, I don't see that it unthreads or breaks down. No maker markings on the baton or case. The exterior of the case is very worn with a lot of missing covering. The hinges are sound and both latches work. The interior case edges show fraying etc as shown.”
