    Sony Walkman

    VERY Dependable, Very tough. This is actually replacing the identical model I've had for 20 years! Single AA battery lasts for hundreds of hours. I use this product with ear buds. Very light and comes with a belt clip.

    vintage Sony SRF-49 Walkman,

    The Sony Walkman is awesome, I love it. very lightweight and easy to use. The reception is great. The Sony stereo headphones sound good, very enjoyable. Great for listening to the talk shows or news. The Walkman is small with an am/FM dial, side volume control, and front slide power button. It uses 1 AA battery and sounds quite nice.

    Fantastic "ultralight" DXing

    This SF-49 exhibits amazing sensitivity. This unit easily outperforms my SF-59 and even the fantastic SF-39FP . This SF-49 is a DXer's dream machine, it will regularly pull-in Radio Enciclopedia 530 AM from my location (1032 miles away) where other larger DX'ing radios fail this test.FM reception is also superb.

    Great solid compact palm-size am-fm radio. Goes anywhere you go.

    * * This Sony Walkman SRF-49 radio is small, light and has an internal antenna. That means no external antenna to break off. It operates on a single AA battery. I use a pair of earbuds with this. You can't play this radio out loud unless you get a plug-in external speaker. It is Palm-size which makes it easy to carry around in your pant pocket or use the attached belt clip. The reception is exceptional. Many stations to choose from, and I live in a rural area in northern Wisconsin. I use one exactly like this when I go for my morning walks or work-out at the fitness center in town. And I liked mine so much I bought this one for my 12yr old grandson near Madison (who plays Junior High football) to listen to football games locally and also the UW-Badgers. Great radio. You ...
