Product Information
Who Wants to be a Millionaire single handedly brought prime-time game shows back into popularity. Ever since the Twenty-One scandal rocked television audiences in the 1950s, prime time quiz shows became few and far between. Hosted by Regis Philbin, the sudden demand for quiz programs surged spawning similar shows and reality television -- computer games were created to mimic ABC's multiple choice juggernaut.

Publishers Simon & Schuster have leapt on the bandwagon with Who Wants to Beat Up a Millionaire, a comedic parody of the aforementioned game show. Rather than simply being eliminated from the game, players are punched and tortured after submitting wrong answers. Featuring multi-player support, each player (up to four) starts out with a million dollars and, instead of earning virtual cash, loses money as the rounds unfold. Once a contestant has run out of funding, he or she is eliminated from the game -- whoever has money at the end of the game wins.

In single-player mode, you choose a millionaire to compete against. When a wrong answer is submitted, that player is tossed out of the game and gets beaten up. Additionally, players can obtain helpful clues known as Lifeboats that include One or the Other, Pass the Buck and Fortune Cookie. Whereas the first eliminates two wrong answers, Pass the Buck directs the given question to another contestant. Fortune Cookie requires guessing the correct answer based upon given clues.

When beating up millionaires, you have a variety of punches from which to choose including uppercuts, stomach punches, hooks, jabs and head butts. Hosted by Egregious Phillin, Who Wants to Beat Up a Millionaire also features 750 off-the-wall multiple-choice questions.Product Identifiers
