    I bought this because I still have one of the old blue and yellow Ryobi cordless circular saws thinking that it would be of the same quality. It's not, they cheaped out and made the entire blade guard out of plastic. The original one is metal. The shoe on the original is also made of a sturdy heavier steel. This new one is thin and flimsy. It is nice to be able to make some quick cuts without running an extension cord so I still think it's worth the 47 bucks to have this tool handy.

    I expected it to cut better than it does.

    I wanted to upgrade from my old blue Ryobi which still cut but you had to baby it. This new one has a noisier motor and throws a lot of sparks around the brushes. And doesn’t cut any better than the old one. I’m sawing 1” x 11” yellow poplar mostly cross-cutting. The saw I got was new in an opened box as I ordered.

    Great Tool

    Ryobi tools are the only tools I use around my home and to repair broken items. This is a quality tool, Plus the fact it use the same battery as the other Ryobis that I have in my workship and garage. I will contiue to use and purc hase this tool as I need them.
