While these aren't the same "springiness" as the original Mavic springs they were the only reasonable replacements I could find after I dropped one of my Mavic OEM springs during a freehub overhaul and couldn't find it. There were more than 4 in the package I received which was good because a couple of them were shorter than the original OEM springs. The spring rebound on all was a little less than the (one remaining) OEM spring I had and I was initially concerned that this would result in pawl engagement failures, but that hasn't been a problem. In fact they have been perfoming every bit as well as the originals did. Shipping was fast and so far the product works as expected so I would feel comfortable recommending them. I also purchased a hubdoctor bearing kit to replace the original Mavic freehub bushing. It has performed well with one caveat. During a recent overhaul to address freehub noise the bearing separated from the freehub body and became stuck on the hub shell during freehub removal. Getting it off the hub shell was nearly impossible. I finally had to build a small bearing puller to safely extract the bearing without damaging it. Afterwards it was simple to re-bond (red loctite) the bearing back into the freehub again. I think the better bond this time around will mean this is a one-time issue that has now been solved but if Hubdoctor were to make a bearing removal tool, I would buy it. Building your own tools is never fun. Kudos to Hubdoctor for making a good product (Mavic freehubs) even better!Read full review

Spring diamater is too small and too stiff. Freehub doesn't spin to well. I only needed one spring because one spring flew south. I was able to get one out of 4 spring's to work. The spring's are not good fit. Go to mavic for the right spring's

These springs look just like the Mavic OEM springs and they are available separately. The mavic springs need to be purchased with the pawl kit. I have not tried them yet but for the price, hard to go wrong. I'm sure they work since the Hub Doctor uses them. I've purchased other items from Hub Doctor. all good.

Even with stock pawls & springs I run cycling grease in my freehubs, always have always will. It takes a little work-in effort with stock items, to get the grease displaced so the pawls work freely. But, with the extra tension offered by these springs things work great from the first spin.

I replaced both springs. One was broken and the other didn’t look too good. Now my free wheel makes much less noise and I feel safer. It would be nice if they included some instructions or a link to YouTube or else showing how to take apart the hub. If you don’t know how to do it right you might ruin your hub.
