Arrived new and clean but it was a pain to fit it.
I have fitted many of these before as Iam a gas engineer. But this one came with a wrong size rubber o ring for a start. Luckily I had a genuine Alpha o ring for these plates on me, but found that due to the fact that the connection on the plate (where the rubber o ring connection slots in) is slightly smaller than on a genuine alpha plate, it needed quite a force to push it in place even so I have used plenty of silicone grease. The force damaged the o ring and made it split, after replacing it found it really hard again to push it in place but managed and the second time got lucky and found no leak from it. Just hope it will hold up and not spark a leak later on. The hot water was back on and satisfactory again.I have fitted many of these before as Iam a gas engineer. This was better than expected even though it makes some noise, it is doing the job for the time being. This was expected as it was a reconditioned item. I took my chance therefore can't complain.
