    A good replica of the original part

    Only time will tell if it is good quality. I have fitted it and it works. I was pleased that the spade terminals could be dispensed with and the original ring terminals fitted on the stud.

    Starter solenoid does what it should

    The unit appears to be well made and similar to the Lucas product it replaces. It is now fitted to 'quality' car from 1963 and is doing a good job

    Tractor repair

    Had a problem with starting my 1949 Ferguson tractor. 6 volt electricsThis was due to wear in gearbox selector starter. Converted to Lucas manual push button starter. Works every time now. No more lugging spare battery and jump leads about. Love it. Highly recommend.

    Not fit for purpose.

    After being fitted to a 1951 Ford Pilot it was started no more than a dozen times and stuck in the on position, burning out the starter motor. Although it frees after a light tap I can't trust it and have had to buy another from elsewhere.
