Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Vintage Tubes & Tube Sockets
This tube replaced a JJ ECC803 in a vintage Mesa Boogie Mark amp since I've heard these were OEM in early 80's Mk amps. I couldn't tell a difference between these and the JJ's. With that said there is a difference between the Tungsram and current production high gain tubes which are so saturated with gain, that they cloud detail. This is the reason I liked the long plate low gain JJ, it still has plenty of gain on tap and it has more clarity. Maybe I underestimated how good JJ 803's are. Tungsram are good tubes and I'm sure they will last a long time, but with the ability to buy something more or less identical in gain and tone for much less, I'll stick with current production. Pretty disappointing.

Music is very detailed with this tube. It is close to FET amplifiers :). The trade off, it does not have extra warm tonality. I replaced in Vincent SV-237MK the original tube with this and it is at least same good as the factory tube, but sounds different; not as sentimental but more accurate. At the upper middle voices a bit more creamy than the original, but overall it sounds better to me than a new 12AX7B tube used in Vincent, where B means, second generation :)

Very musical 12AX7 tubes, good for audios, very audiophiles, I have the Telefunken smooth long plate ECC83, which is very close to Tungsram, but the harmonics and sound stage of Tungsram are even deeper and better than Telefunken. The airiness of Tunsgram is superb, more details and more isolation of the musical instruments than the Telefunken. But you have to choose the old stock from the '60, no later than '60, told to be different sounding, but not as good.
Well packed. Same as described. One week delivery time to Bulgaria. Tubes are brand new in original boxes.
