I ordered Dremel replacement parts and was surprised to see that the brushes were actually about the same size or smaller than the ones that came with my 4000. The springs were much better, So I pulled the old brushes off the old springs and put them on the new springs. Unit works great and I ended up with three sets of brushes now assuming the springs are of good quality. Not sure what's cheaper, the carbon brush or the copper spring. Price was good and shipped fast.
